Three ways to confirm a COD order
WhatsApp after checkout
The customer gets a message with Confirm and Cancel buttons. It's cheap per order and leaves a written record, but some customers never reply.
OTP on the order form
The form sends a one-time code before the order is placed. It stops wrong numbers, not customers who change their mind later.
Phone call
A call reaches customers who ignore messages. Vrobo calls automatically with an IVR menu when WhatsApp gets no reply, so no agent has to dial.
How to choose
- Count your orders: per-message fees add up past a few hundred orders a month
- Check whose number sends the message; your own number builds trust with repeat buyers
- See what happens when the customer doesn't reply: a reminder, a call, or nothing
- Look past confirmation: waybills, shipping updates and refused-parcel checks save more than the confirmation itself
- Make sure the app writes the result back to the order, so your team doesn't copy statuses by hand
